Ever faced with a Near death experience?

I have never had such an experience, but I have read about scores of such experiences, and I have heard of such experiences too. I heard about a woman who was thought to be dead and put in the morgue. She came to life two days later and told everybody about heaven and angels. This woman was totally different after that. She had completely changed.

Coming close to home, my mother was telling us about an experience she had when she was a teenager. She had to undergo an operation and the doctors had given her a test dose of pencillin to check her reaction to it. Now, my Mom is very much allergic to pencillin and she later told us that she almost died. She said she felt she was getting out of her body and rising and as she rose everything turned cheerful and bright and she felt lighter and happier and did not want to go back. Then she came back and heard her mother (my grandmother) crying loudly. They thought she died.

Have you ever read the book "Embraced by the Light" by Betty Eadie? If you are interested in hearing other's near death experiences, this is one of the best I've read. She remembers a lot of what happened to her while she was "dead" and whenever I read the book, it gives me a new perspective on life. It's really good, check it out.
