Do you think that Sherlock Holmes

I read several Sherlock Holmes mysteries when I was younger. They were all right to me but to be honest not that great. Of course when I consider when they were written and that he is considered "the first detective" I can appreciate the work put into them. Currently I've been reading the Alex Cross mysteries by James Patterson. The most recent book I read by him with that character is "Mary, Mary". It was very good. I've enjoyed all the books with that character. He's had two of the books made into movies "Kiss The Girls" and "Along Came A Spider", both were excellent. If you like mysteries and detectives I'd recommend these.

I think Sherlock Holmes is one of the greatest books I ever read. When I was young I used to spend lots of time reading the Sherlock Holmes inorder to find the end of the story. I think it is one of the greatest works I had ever seen. I think the mystery stories are sometimes hard to guess the ending.

Hi Teka, I enjoy the stories of all 3 characters; however I still think Sherlock Holmes is the best. All of them are good at analysis and deduction; but Holmes was the most adventurous. He often assumed different disguises to get the information he required.

Yes, Sherlock Holmes IS THE BEST DETECTIVE ever! Although he is only fiction, but I can feel that he is alive. I am very crazy with him. I hope I can visit his museum in London soon.
