Is a bagel still a bagle if it's missing it's hole?

Seriously, my morning bagel was missing it's hole! It looked more like a bun than a bagel. How is a bagel a bagel without it's hole? (I wonder if I should complain!)

I've had lots of bagels without holes but I guess I still considered it a bagel...with just a little extra bonus...why should I pay for the hole? :)

My sister in law buys these things called Biali's (Bee Alley's) They are a bagel tasting thing without a hole. They have the flavoring right on top and in the middle of it. I do not know if this is what you had, but these are awesome tasting.

That wasn't it, but the Biali sounds interesting! It was the regular kind of bagel I eat most mornings, but with no hole!

Oh I'm very curious when I read your post here. What is bagel? Honestly, it's my first time to hear that. Is that a fruit or something? I appreciate your explanation on this thing and please forgive my ignorance.

A bagel's a chewy bread that you eat for breakfast and you usually slather cream cheese on it. It's shaped like a donut, but the hole is usually a little smaller. They're REALLY tasty! BUT today's bagel was really missing the hole! WHen I turned it over, it looked like it should have had a hole, but it was just a little line!
