If you had to be a duck on the water? |
|
If you were a duck on any water way in the world, where would it be? What would you like your surroundings to be? Would you like a nice mountain lake or would you prefer the pond in a city park so you could people watch? I think I would prefer the latter so I could listen to people's conversations and fed by the small children throwing lumps of bread to me!

1. moolahmagnet (1532) | 3 months ago | Oww geez! Why do you I have to be a duck to enjoy the waterscape of the world! LOL! Anyways, if I have to be a duck, I would be in York Park, that is in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia. I remember having my kids around the pond, admiring and feeding the gorgeous ducks and swans paddling along. G'day!

2. citrusemma (375) | 3 months ago | A nice mountain lake, I could dive down into the icy cold fresh water and explore the crystal lake=] beautiful blues, freedom no stupid kids throwing rocks at you, or chucking their garbage in your home... no pollution, murky water..

4. Darkwing (5751) | 3 months ago | I think I might move around a bit, but the two prime places I would like to be are perhaps the River Avon, in Bath, merely for the fact that so much ancient history stems from that part of the World. I could also make my way up to Stratford, which is another really historic area. (I love the ghost and witch museum there... ever been?) The second place I would choose, if only for a break now and again, would be the lake in Buchan Country Park. This is a beautiful country park, midst St. Leonard's Forest, which has Iron Age and Saxon history. I've posted a pic for you. Brightest Blessings my dear friend. All is well on the friend front again... it seems his career future is a bit hazy, amongst other things. But, all's well now and we're back on track. Thank you Beltane and thank you, my friend, for your valued support!!! xx

Bizziebod (2156) | 3 months ago | You're more than welcome and I'm glad your friend is getting back on the right track! I've never been to that museum! I will make a note of that the next time I'm in the area! I've never been to Bath either even though my brother lived there for five years! I have watched the documentary about the famous circle of homes, it was about their masonic links - would really like to go! Thank you for your support also - Beltane Blessings!

5. slickcut (4688) | 3 months ago | There is a cemetary here called "Brookside" It is beautiful..It has huge trees that has been here for years and years...They have streets inside the cemetary, and ponds and a big huge lake with ducks and geese and they have small sitting area's everywhere..They have waterfalls,to be a cemetary it is absolutely beautiful..If i were a duck i would like to live there. It is not dreary,it has lights and lighted up at night and so shady and beautiful..They have georgous gardens inside the cemetary..It is not a sad place...A lot of my friends and family members are resting there....There is one other cemetary in downtown Houston that is simular to brookside, that is where "Howard Hughs" is buried and it is also one of the oldest cemetaries, and if not at Brookside then that would be my second choice....people even go there to sit and relax and watch and feed the ducks and geese, and beautiful swans......live there

Bizziebod (2156) | 3 months ago | That sounds wonderful, a lot of our cemeteries in this country are getting over grown, with no one to look after them, which is a real shame. It sounds like a very peaceful place to sit and ponder! Thanks for sharing that
