Do you usually check reviews? |

Do you usually check reviews on Amazon.com to see if you would like to buy a movie? Or do you want to watch the movie with no idea what it is about except for the trailer and coverage?

1. Adelida2233 (789) | 3 months ago | I do read some of the reviews, however I tend to take them wih a grain of salt. Everyone looks for different things when watching a movie, so its totally up to that person as to whether they liked it our not. I do like Siskal and Ebert's interpretation for the most part however, they give you a general idea of what the movie is about, and tend to be correct with the movies that I have seen. If you can find a reviewer who shares your taste in movies, that is the best way to judge, then you can just follow their opinions.

2. sandybel20 (288) | 3 months ago | Well...sometimes i watch a movie only after the head line, if it's catchy . When i want to buy a movie a always check reviews, not necesarely on Amazon, but other sites as well. I want to see if it's interesting and worth my money as well. I also go by what my friends tell me .

obidan (307) | 3 months ago | Yeah, well I usually just look at the title, if it sounds good, i check IMDB to see the genre, if I decide I like the genre and the title seems nice, I buy it! Also watch trailers of course... That's pretty much it, no movie reviews!

4. luvstochat (5161) | 3 months ago | I never read the reviews on a movie as not everyone likes the same thing so how can I base whether I would like a movie on what other say? I rent the movie and decide for myself if the movie is good then I will buy the movie so I can watch it again in the future.

5. megumiart (2872) | 3 months ago | I usually only check reviews if there's a movie I really really want to see. Other wise sometimes I'll browse through the reviews when I read the news paper.

6. arcidy (2289) | 3 months ago | Yeah I usally check reviews on movies. I go to atthemoviestv.com to listen to ebert and ropert reveiws on movies because I think there the best critics around. I usally agree with most of there reviews. I also go to amazon.com to read what regular people have to say about movies or videogames I want to buy and if there more good reviews then bad then I would buy it.

| 7. yorkshirewriter (63) | 3 months ago | The only time I would really check a review of any film would be if I came across a film I had not previously heard of. Reviews tend to be a little one sided in trying to highlight the best parts of a film, even when there are few. Movie trailers can usually be a good indication of the potential quality of the film too but most comes down to personal judgement. I have seen many films over the years so feel happy with my own judgement when deciding whether a film is worth watching or not. I have seen some brilliant films that I have thoroughly enjoyed, even after they have been described as average films by so called experts.
