Distress and comfort | | In my culture it is often said that “he who takes care of the sick is himself sick” this is because when you are responsible for a sick family member you feel the person’s pains and discomfort. This becomes tougher when a family member is diagnosed with a terminal disease. How would you comfort such a person?

I know that sometimes the people taking care of others do become sick, but I think this saying means sick in an empathetic way! I know of some people who are ill, while nobody says terminal the usual result of the illness is death! But it can take quite a long time. I would do what I can to help, bring a meal or soup, listen when they want to complain, and offer a massage!
