I am a real film buff. But I find that I prefer classic old black and white films. I think they have better scrips and more dialogue. Anyone else think the old movies are the best?

Not all old movies are the best, but some of them surely are. I like Gone With The Wind, Casablanca and also Breakfast at Tiffany's. I also love other movies but I forgot the titles.

Those films are wonderful. If you like Gone With The Wind, then see Jezebel (1938) starring Bette Davis. It's a prequel to GWTW.
I have recently seen In A Lonely Place (1950) starring the great Humphry Bogart. He is a marvalous actor. Another good film illustrating 'the angry young man' I'd recommend is Brighton Rock (1947). It's a British classic starring Richard (now Lord) Attenborough.
Another Bette Davis starring film I love is Of Human Bondage (1934) where she plays an insubordinate cockney sparrow in London. I'd say it's her finest acting performance.
Other great films include Gaslight (1944) starring Ingrid Bergman, The Lost Weekend (1945) starring Welsh actor Ray Milland, The Big Clock (1948) also starring Milland and Charles Laughton. Also try The Asphelt Jungle (1950) staring Sterling Heyden.
There are loads more I can recommend.
