I know all the lyrics to just about every song I listen to, and that is a list that grows every day. I am not sure quite what causes me to take it in in such a way that the lyrics stick with me so easily, but I am usually feeling it quite deeply. Anything by Garth Brooks would probably be first (that's of course far more than five). The most recent one I can remember listening to and subsequently memorizing is "Sally" by Mika.

I know the lyrics to basically every song I like/listen to, and every song that I hate that I think I've ever heard. For some reason it's easier for the songs I dislike to hide in my brain. Five songs off the top of my head...Hmm... 1. Coin Operated Boy - The Dresden Dolls 2. A Little Less Conversation... - Elvis Presley 3. Disease - Matchbox20 4. One Week - Barenaked Ladies [might not be spacing that correctly, but this one is an accomplishment if you've heard it. :P I can't actually sing the part about the milkshake, though] 5. Future Ex-Girlfriend - Voltaire

1. She's leaving home - The Beatles 2. Hard Rain - Bob Dylan 3. New York, New Yotk - Frank Sinatra 4. Rhiannon - Fleetwood Mac 5. Working Class Hero - John Lennon I don't know what it is about songs but I am getting forgetful as I get older, but when the first chord of a song kicks in on the radio I find the words come flooding back. Sometimes my better half says to me 'how can you possibly remember the words of a song from 40 years ago?' Well, it's as if it were yesterday (by the Beatles, and yes, I know the words to that, too....!)
