This happened in Ontario Canada. She must of had previous offences and they were looking to fire her. I like to think that is what happened. Who would want to believe she was fired for being a kind person?

The first thing that came to mind is I bet she was a lousy employee and they were waiting for an excuse to fire her. I doubt a free timbit would be cause for firing. On the other hand I think Timmies is a thankless place to work. They are way underpaid and here in Victoria with a staff shortage they are overworked.

Hi shannonjyl. I don't hear nothing about this because I live in Brazil you know. But it is an unfair thing of course. I don't know, but sometimes I think that in ours days the rules are changed because who is a kind person is punished and who is a bad person most of times receive recompense. Maybe I became old for ours days but I don't accept things like that. If I live in Ontario I don't buy anything more in this store so they will lose much more to learn.

hey teka44, it is nice to see you. thank you for your comment. We will never really know why she was really fired. Perhaps this was the managers last straw, perhaps it was her own baby she was giving free food too. maybe she was bringing home bag fulls of doughnuts. i am kidding of course. I feel for her and her struggles of being a single parent in this world today. We have a difficult time with ours and there is both parents.

i heard this on the news today (i live in southern ontario canada) and it was against Tim Horton's staff policy to give away any products. HOWEVER, she claims that other staff members have done the same and havent had any reprisal for their actions...
this poor lady's boss was too hard on her! i hope everyone in ontario boycotts timmies til she gets her job back! i sure will!

hi cher, thanks for responding! hello fellow ontarian! Other staff member do it because my kids were given a treat once (i cant say which store though, looking from side to side))I hope she finds a better job soon that will respect her more and pay her more money. I feel the staff at a lot of timmies are angry and rude..sigh.
