2nd Amendment |
|
If you're an American... do you support the second amendment? If you don't know what it is: "The right of the people to keep and bear arms." This may a controversial topic for some so don't lock and load just yet. I could give some senarios but you would pick protecting your family or loved ones over a dirtbag who was trying to take it from you anyway. Just polling the masses.

For instance, I have Bipolar Disorder, a few years ago, before I had it under control, it wouldn't have been safe for me to have a gun. Especially since my husband was such a jerk! However, my brother owns several and I firmly believe that's his right. In my opinion, if you don't have a violent criminal record or mental illness, own as many as you want!

This country was built by men with guns...and men (and women) with guns keep it free. I feel that our second amendment rights are in danger if/when Hilary or Obama gets elected president though. God help us if either of those losers take office...

I think there are more NRA members than Hil and B.O. are aware of, just take the remark of Dumbama about PA. Those people sit on their roost and think they run the country, have they got a rude awakening. A few years ago a salesman for a home security came to my door and tried to sell me an alarm system, I just told him I believe in the 2nd amendment and he smiled politely and walked away.

| 3. Ksxybaby2008 (2) | 6 months ago | Actually i do not support the second amendment. I absolutely do not like Guns and I do not think people should even want to bare arms. I think that if we got rid of the guns there would be a lot lesscrime and killing in the world! I just like the music from the band that happens to have the word guns in the title, "free speech" and all, or just a bad choice in names. I dont mean to come off sounding harsh but Guns scare me to death, too many children are killed maimed or are "accidently" paralized, and disfigured every year.

laglen (1570) | 5 months ago | I would like to point out that England, Washington DC and Australia have outlawed guns. Look at their crime rates. If you outlaw guns, the only people that will have them are criminals. Prisoners polled on this subject said that if they even suspect somebody is armed, they don't hit that house. They look for the Tree Hugger types and know that they are not armed. At our house we have 3 large dogs and firearms. My dogs will keep you busy while I get my gun! But amazingly, nobody bothers us...........

I just ran across this site which talks about what happened in the UK when they went gun free and confiscated as many guns as they could. http://hematite.com/dragon/gcgunfreeuk1.html I haven't read the entire site but what I did read makes me support the second amendment even more. I remember seeing this witness testimony about gun control and had to share it here. If you haven't seen it, you have to watch the whole video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvV3gr_vinE And you have to watch Penn and Teller talk about Gun Free Zones. It's on Youtube too.

gitfiddleplayer (2032) | 6 months ago | I've seen and read those both. Thanks for adding them, I remember when liborama Tokyo Rosie jumped on Tom Selleck for owning a gun, yet she has armed body guards surrounding her, what a double standard.
