to know you're doing things wrong is the fisrts step to chan changing your life indeed...but in other to change that you 've got to know you are not the body, you are not the mind, you are a soul in control of your world, and that if you are doing anything agaist who you are, that it means you don't love yourself enough adn you gotta regaing that! Hope it helps a bit.

We all have things at times we do that we know are not right or that we aren't supposed to be doing. It is called life and living in the flesh. that is the first step. you know what you are doing and acknowledging it and realizing it. next step is take action. be aware when you are going to do it and stop yourself before it happens. and if you succeed, reward yourself with something pleasant that you enjoy. keep a journal to monitor your daily activities to see why you do it or when you seem to want to do it. if all fails, seek a therapist or group therapy. maybe talking it out with someone else can help you.

The best way to stop doing something is to ignore it. If you ever get the urge to do it then think of something else. for example, if you are very religious then think of a verse from your book, be it the Torah, Koran, or Bible.

Sounds like you are ready to quit. GOOD FOR YOU! When the thing you are doing no longer benefits you..it's time to do something else, right? This is an easy one! I used to be a therapist and had poeple talk ot me that did everything from gambling to smoking crack, looking at things online you shouldn't, or even drinking too much, etc..If you can't stop and it's bothering you, it's an addiction.
The trick then is to SUBSTITUTE something you like ALOT better every time than the thing you do not like doing. But it has to be something positive.
For instance, if you are visual and look at the wrong online stuff too much..maybe you also like to look at the outdoors/nature and could find a nature trail to hike on or something like that. If you smoke, but it is because your hands just don't feel right withut something in them..get a pack of playing cards and shuffle them instead whenever you want to smoke. It is up to your own imagination! But think about what you are doing and what you do not like. Now think about why you do it. Then thing about something YOU like to do better that you's feel happy doing and does not harm yourdelf or any one else! And DO that thing when you feel like doing the bad thing! GO FOR IT! Good luck! It DOES work if you give it a day's planning and then just do that! You'll be feeling better in no time!
