No use of Mylot friendship?

This is my experience, not to be viewed as a complaint. (1) Requested for friendship of some and i got it! (2) There ar some requests from my side which are pending. Well! The thing is, only 25% of number (1) above are responding to my discussions - others never care, however i used to respond to their's as far as possible. What is the fun of accepting friendship and keeping silent? Am i right in deleting their names from my list of friends? Out of (2) above I have deleted requests pending for more than a month, since they were not accepted. Reasonable time, i think, for acceping or rejecting a friendship request is a week or two. Right? Now i am going to tell you the best thing that is happening to me! Most of my discussions are eliciting best responses from rated (*) users whom i have not made friends with!

I delete inactive friends but i dont delete because they dont respond to all my discussions. I dont see a reason to post to a discussion and say something stupid because i have nothing to add to the conversation so i will not always post myself. The other thing is alot of people dont have the notifications turned on so they may not see all your discussions. But hey you do what makes you happy I mean whats it gonna hurt if you delete a few mylot friends right?

Morning Rosekitty! You have many times responded to my discussions - you forgot? If 'Notify is On' you will get email notification and 'Notify is Off' no email. Appreciate and admire your good nature. Thank you very much for your response.

I only delete members from my friends list if they haven't been active for a year or longer. And I am sure I didn't get to everyone. I don't look for all of them to always respond to my discussions. But I like having friends because I can respond to their discussions.

I keep all of my friends, whether they are responding to my discussions or not. I don't really see a reason for deleting friends at all. Don't be discouraged by the pending friend requests. As someone already mentioned, many people respond to messages through their email and never know they have friend requests until they log onto the site. I wouldn't were too much about all this, snake. Just have your own reasons for being here at myLot, be true to yourself and most of all have fun.

You seem like a very friendly person so maybe this is a issue to you. I know that it can become frustrating at times when you accept friend requests and then in the end have some that are constantly pended. To me,you are doing very good on your end

Well, the longer you are a member here you will find many people who will want to be Friends with you, and very few of them responding back and following all of their discussions. Problem is many will come and go just about this fast as well. I have many people on my friends list. Not sure how many of these peoople are still active on here, as I do not always have time to try and keep up. No, I do not respond back to all of my friends discussions they start, nor do I have the time. What I do try and do, is respond to the ones I do see when I am on here, and if they are a Subject I am interested in I respond, if not, I move on. I am sure this how everyone else is on here as well. Wishing you the best.

well, i can't say whether the friendship here is useful or not useful as i am not in a position to judge... all i can say is i had been here for more than a year and i have a lot of friends by now and i am really enjoying it... not all my friends are responding to my discussions as well... but i don't mind... as long as some of them does, i am happy... i can't expect every one of my friends to respond to my discussions and they can't expect me to respond to every single one of their discussions as well... so i just try to have fun here... take care and have a nice day...

I don't worry too much about my friend here at mylot if they response or don't response to my discussions. I know they are also very busy answering responses, I mean quality responses to topics they know very well. If my discussions are very hard or not, it will not get too many responses and I can't blame them for that. I took there friendship with not string attach. They can do what they want. I also don't delete anyone from the list of my friends. I usually approved their friendship if they asked. I like it that way, it's easier to look for discussion when you have some friends on your list.

I like your response Robert, no strings attached is good. No need to get upset or disappointed if friends don't respond to discussions, they will if a topic interests them.

I have made some great friendships here on mylot. However I have just over 100 friendships on here and most of these people I hardly see on my discussions. Maybe 10-20 people on my friend list respond to my discussions. BUt it does not bother me as I just appreciate the nice friendships I have made on here. I also understand that sometimes it would be hard for everyone to respond to all of your discussions. I don't respond to all of these 100 friends, I simply don't have that many hours in a day. But I do try and respond to friends discussions that always respond to mine. Congratulaitons on the best responses you have been receiving that would be a nice feeling.

If 25% of your friends are responding that is a good reason for having a friends list. I get email notifications for all my friends new discussions and I do read them, but I can't respond to all of them because they are about topics of which I know nothing or of which I have no opinion. I respond to many discussions started by non-friends. They may request to be one of my friends after I have added my response. I will award a best response to someone who is not on my friends list if they have added what I think is the best response to my discussion. It is up to you if you want to delete people from your list. I only do this if they are no longer taking part in any discussions at myLot.
