which kind of movies do you like? |
|
i think that the movies are of two kinds... the commercial one and the ones with a theatrical touch... the ones which are made for the film festivals. the commercial ones are made with the intention of drawing the crowds and to stand at the box office... while the other ones are artistic, and are made with a message and rich in feelings... which kind of movies do you like.

3. leeloo (156) | 3 months ago | I enjoy movies off all kinds. Art house movies tend to get a story across, a point of view, it is generally very personal so therefore the emotional link is greater. The movies for mass audiences tend to be more generalized and in general fun, things that you can't take too seriously. There are exceptions in which very well written scripts are joined with big productions the examples of Lord of the Rings, Titanic etc I watch a bit of everything, large production films with so many special effects that it is easier to look for what is real than what isn't, films with one camera two people and a crew of maybe 10 which have to do everything but with a story that touches you. There is just one thing that I don't like and that is extreme predictability. I mean a major action film will tend to follow a formula, bad guys attack something good guy(s) have to defend and win in end. The trick is to make it exciting and fresh eg Pirates of the Carribean gave a new take on action films, the same applies to art films eg Memento totally different way of making a film the story shot in a classical way is ordinary it is how it is done that makes the film stand out.

praveenjena (843) | 3 months ago | that was indeed a great descriptive view of the contrast of the movies of the art and commercial categories. your mention of the movies like the lord of the rings and the titanic is just and anyone shuns the commercial movies will like them and well titanic is a touching movie. ya now a days the formula movies have the greater percentage among the movies released and so they do not do much profit at the box office. those movies which are a bit different do click in the box office. thanks for the response and have a nice day.

4. DDDanielle (165) | 3 months ago | My favorite movie all seem to be those dry humor movies that everyone either hates or loves. I'm a BIG Wes Anderson fan and he's famous for making movie just like I discribed. Some of my faves also are one that have comics that don't usually do dry humor in them . For example "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Strander than fiction, and Little Miss Sunshine" Jim carrey, Will farrel, and Steve carell don't usually do these types of movie but i LOVED them in them. Love love loved them. I recommend all three.
