i think that the movies are of two kinds... the commercial one and the ones with a theatrical touch... the ones which are made for the film festivals. the commercial ones are made with the intention of drawing the crowds and to stand at the box office... while the other ones are artistic, and are made with a message and rich in feelings... which kind of movies do you like.

I enjoy movies off all kinds. Art house movies tend to get a story across, a point of view, it is generally very personal so therefore the emotional link is greater. The movies for mass audiences tend to be more generalized and in general fun, things that you can't take too seriously. There are exceptions in which very well written scripts are joined with big productions the examples of Lord of the Rings, Titanic etc I watch a bit of everything, large production films with so many special effects that it is easier to look for what is real than what isn't, films with one camera two people and a crew of maybe 10 which have to do everything but with a story that touches you. There is just one thing that I don't like and that is extreme predictability. I mean a major action film will tend to follow a formula, bad guys attack something good guy(s) have to defend and win in end. The trick is to make it exciting and fresh eg Pirates of the Carribean gave a new take on action films, the same applies to art films eg Memento totally different way of making a film the story shot in a classical way is ordinary it is how it is done that makes the film stand out.

Non Commercial ones.. Any day. The commercials are getting boring. Its always about the bham boom and fights. There are a lot of artistic movies which I have seen after downloading and always wondered. Why don't the companies produce these movies cry out for fight against piracy. Then I realized that they are not here to make money but are rather there to spread a message to others through their movies. Such kind of movies are always appreciated and like by many. bourne
