celebrating my own birthday. I do not like to be in the middle and have all the people focused on my self. I never thought about it earlier, but I have recently found out, I do not like to be in focus. So for to morrow, I hope I will be left alone. But there are always someone who knows of course. It is enough with family and friends, but for others who I never have told on my birthday, I hope they will not found out.
Are you a person who like being in the middle and have all the people focused on you. do you like celebrating your birthday in old days. why or why not?

I like celebrating my birthday, but I never do as I can't be bothered to organise anything and no one has ever organised a birthday party for me since I was about 9. I don't see why I should put all the effort in when it is my birthday, I would appreciate someone to do a ring around to get my friends together, so we can go out for a meal, the pictures or over the town.

Yes, I agree with you. The best celebration is when your friends and family do organize your birthday party. That would indeed be a god present. That only happen when I become 30, 40 or 50 than it all sudden are something to celebrate and other people organize the party. I did try to escape that when I became 40, but my family did do it.
Anyway, on friday My son will be 17 and I will try to make a little party for him but only for the family.

I don't like celebrating my birthday with a lot of people around... it is good that my family respects this... so i don't have a party... i just go out by myself... eat at a restaurant and watch a movie alone... but in a few years time... i will be doing that with my baby... i don't want to leave her behind during my birthday... so i would share it with her...

wow, four responses and all feel the same thing. I am surprised, thought I was the only one. I hope the family is the only one turning up today. And I hope they have not bought me things I do not need, I have said I want a barbecue for outdoor. And I will go to store to day to get out doors furniture so we can spend the evening outside. Hey, why not, it is a sunny day.

well you are somewhat right... i agree with you.... well i donot even like to celebrate my birthday because i just don't like it... i do get wishes from my friends, and i do also wish them but i don't celebrate it...

Hello and thank you for responding. I will only celebrate with my family. Went to store and got some ice cream cake´s for coffee. I also bought to the barbecue I hope they will give me. It is the only thing I wish they give me, nothing els. But for friends, I did not tell anyone.

i know what you mean....sorta. i like my privacy like everyone else but i'm pretty far from a recluse. when theres certain birthday i just don't like a whole crowd of people i just let them know not to bother me and if they are your real friends they will respect that decision. at the same time don't block yourself from society because thats only going to create more problems with yourself!

Wow, four responses, and I am not alone. I thought I was. I have always thought I was a boring person not want to celebrating being older. I am happy to find out I am not.
One of my three sisters sms me a congratulation early this morning. They will turn up this weekend. We have the same profession and she had to work. I for one are free of, that is a god birthday present.
the reset of the family will turn up this evening. But before they can turn up I have to get to store and by my self some outdoors furniture so we can spend the evening outside.
