Well, i am REALLY a newbie here. I've been trying to figure out what does the star and the number on it stand for (it is located above the avatar). I was able to figure out that the number in parenthesis stands for number of friends but what about the star? Is it for seniority or rank or what? I really want to have it too on my avatar!

You get a star once you have made 100 posts (I'm pretty sure it's at 100.) And the number inside is your ranking based on how people have rated your discussions and responses (using those little + and - buttons). 10 is the best and 1 is the worst rating. A lot of people abuse this system, but your star number doesn't affect your earnings, so I personally don't pay much attention. Hope that helps

Earnings are affected by how many posts you make and the quality of those posts. As far as I know the rating has nothing to do with that and I have always heard it does not affect earnings, and personal experience has told me that as well.

Wow, so all I have to do is to create a 100 post to get a star? Cool...that means I have to post, post and post! Thanks! You're great!
