How to get a dog to stop barking???

our dog have the same problem before though it is not as worst as the others he just bark if there is someone new in the door or someone stopping outside.
since we live in an area where people dont like dogs barking we make sure that our dog is not inconveniencing someone by placing a bark control collar on him, you can find it easy to any pet store or if you dont have one near you can check and buy one online. it is very useful as our dog never barks to someone now and have learned his lesson to be a good boy.
we find it useful as well if he is inside the car or if we are staying in teh hotel with him coz we dont have to worry about someone complaining about our dog.
it is not harming him unlike what others claim and it sure change his views and nature of barking.
if you want to know more about it you can read online and see how others feel about it and then decide if you want to have one for your dog or not.
i dont know how to train a dog who have barking problems coz i know my friend's dog bark like crazy and i have heard someone complaining about it already, the thing is that dog is very small but she can bark LOL

I cured mine with a simple squirt gun filled with water. Each time she barks, I issue a command to stop, and if she doesn't I shoot her with the squirt gun. She doesn't like it and eventually she got the message. Since they do not know where it's coming from, they don't feel like it's you that is punishing them. I don't know, but it worked good for me.

Spend enough time on training the dog. Every dog can be taught a quiet command. It just takes time and consistency but it's way more humane than bark collars, shock collars, squirt guns or any other type of negative correction that the dog might not even understand why he's getting punished.

Dogs bark. And it's kind of inevitable. However, you can work with the dog and train her to not to make a sound. It might be a little time consuming, depending on the dog itself. My family and I are currently trying to train our three puppies. And they are handfuls. We have three different beings to try and control. They bark at every little sound and movement outside. Just be happy you are not in my position.

My SIL used a spray-bottle of water, and it worked for her dog. This dog wouldn't stop barking at all.
