Mother's Day

So, what did all of you mylotters end up doing for Mother's Day? I must admit, mine didn't turn out to be quite what I expected it to be. I gave my mom a kind of humorous card but I had ordered her this candle set almost a month back that I knew she'd love and they got a hold of me about a week ago to tell me the set was backordered so it won't be here until the END of may. So, I told my mother what I got her and that her mother's day present will be belated. Then we went down to my grandmothers and brought her dinner of barbequed chicken, salad and baked beans.. mmm.. it wasn't a bad day but I wish I could have done more!

Well its a late wish, but i got her a car so she can go to places comfortably! on this mothers day

A car??? Wow, she must be feeling spoiled to have a child like you. I wish I could afford those knds of presents.

My mother lives out of town now, so we get together for coffee when she comes in to work (she's a substitute teacher). We got together last Wednesday, since she wouldn't be here on Sunday. I brought her some stuff back from Arizona that I gave her for Mother's Day (some water botles, some coffee, and some chocolate bars), and we had a nice chat.

That's nice that you guys got a chance to sit down and catch up, it seems like most people don't get to do that enough nowadays. What were you doing in Arizona, vacationing? I've heard that it is nice there!

Even if you were not able to get her a Mother's Day gift on time, I am sure that she has appreciated the thought that you even gave her a gift for Mother's Day. I am sorry that your mother's gift was delayed. I hope that you all have enjoyed your dinner for Mother's Day at your grandmother's house. I stayed home and cooked dinner on Mother's Day last month. We all had a great time too. Happy Mother's Day, Angel3eyes!
