| | it really depends on what type of camera you would like to have. and what cameras are available in your place. me, i own myself a sony digital camera. it was pretty nice i bought it for 17,000 pesos. i think its worth the value. the camera can take both photos and videos in a maximum of 7 megapixels. isn't it nice? its good for outdoors and indoors as well. its 3x the zoom also. aside from that it can make multiple shots too, like what the professionals do. i recommend you sony brand cameras for digital. | | | | | | |

| | I'm not 100% sure on the best camera company, but I have heard that the canons and the rebels are some great cameras. I am wanting one of them when I upgrade my camera. I have an HP, and it's a good camera. Just not as good as one of the above mentioned and it's about three or four years old. | | | | | | |

| | hey loves I shied away from the Rebel, while its a decent camera you would still have issues with night shots and lag time on the camera. I wanted a camera that could do it all... MY Sony DSC is about 2 years old and while still a very very nice camera, the low light and night shots have just really been hard on me, as I love to try to shoot moon and outdoor shots. Every thing I read and friends I talked to pointed me towards Nikon and the D300....review that I read from non biased people who used cameras and revies them all said everything between the D40 and D300 was garbage, and I have also been reading the Nikon D300 has a slight edge in almost all areas... so when you check out cameras don't neglect to check out nikon's as well Mooch | | | |

| | I just purchased a Camera here my digital camer history Agfa, low resolution got me hooked on digital photography Olympus a step up, took some good pictures Toshiba better resolution, slow in low light and night pictures Sony DSC-H5 (cybershot) ok camera but it left me wanting more after months of researching and reading reviews and going with a friends recommendation I chose NIKON D300 over all the Canon DSLR's simply because I wanted something I wasn't going to be unhappy with... it really depends on what you want, AND How much you want to spend. I spent just over 2100.00 USD on my current camera..... Sony has some nice DSLRs that they are putting out that you can get package deals for about 1000 usd as well....but the best I can say is spend time reading hte reviews.. But the most camera you can for your money .....otherwise you won't be happy in just a few short months Mooch | | | | | | |

| | Picking a digital camera is about as unique to each person as choosing a hairstyle. Part of your decision will be in whether or not you are choosing to go with a standard digital, or an SLR (Single lens Reflex). Then, you will have to decide a few different things...how much you plan on using it and what for, do you plan on doing a lot of editing and printing that will require a higher pixel, are you taking pictures of children/family/animals that will require you to have a more rapid take on the picture...etc. Choosing simply by brand is not really the best way to go. It is important to decide what you will be using it for, and then look at brands and see which ones have good reviews, and meet your needs. For example, I decided to purchase and SLR digital camera. There are 4 basic brands...Nikon, Canon, and Pentax. Nikon and Canon are the two most popular, mostly because of advertising. Pentax puts less money into advertising, and puts that money into making sure they have good quality cameras. I chose a pentax for one major reason...it was the only SLR camera that still took AA batteries. All the others use only an internal battery, that must be recharged. By choosing the Pentax, I am able to use a battery charger and charge more than one set of AA's, and have them available easily. Also, if I am out and about, and my batteries have died with no spares, I can stop by the market and pick some up. And I know myself...I won't always remember to recharge an internal battery. However, some people hear the name and automatically think it is not as good. Although, when compared, it compares pretty much equal to the Nikon. And the Pentax cost me less, yet has just as many features. So, you see....choosing simply by brand may cause you to lose out in features or such that you may need to fit your lifestyle and photography needs. Hope that helps.... | | | | | | |

| | The most popular camera company is Kodak. The most popular bandwagon "camera company" is Sony. Hassleblad is the best, but it is very expensive...priced the same as a small car. The last I heard they were working on a 100 mp camera. I believe they have 32mp and 64mp out in the market now. But for the more affordable cameras Pentax, Nikon, and Cannon are the best. I have a Nikon N65 SLR, Pentax K10D DSLR, Polaroid instant, Polaroid digital point and shoot(I don't remember the name), Canon PowerShot, Nikon Coolpix. The Polaroid and Coolpix are my kids. The powershot is my husbands, and we really do not like how slow it focuses. I love my Pentax | | | | | | |

| | I use a Nikon. My mom uses Nikon. All of my friends use Nikon. And all of my professional photographer colleagues use Nikon. I've heard that Canon and Nikon are pretty similar as far as quality, it just depends on personal preference. However, I have had photographers online send me messages saying that they shoot with a Canon, but after seeing how sharp and clear my images are they are considering switching to Nikon. :) As far as point and shoot cameras go, I don't think there's really that much difference in quality between all the different brands. However, when you get into DSLRs, that's where you're going to see some brands offer a lot more than other brands. | | | | | | |
