Ok
I am usually pretty good at "interpreting" other peoples dreams.. I think I have this one figured out, but I would like some differing viewpoints Thanks!
Last night I dreamed I was on a field trip as a high school student (I think) It was my birthday. We were on the ocean in a big house or hotel. There were probably 50 of us. We were all sitting at a table, listening to our teacher explain the do's and dont's. I was not listening.
There were big bay windows that lined the room. some had a latch, others could not be opened.
I went to the one with the latch and went outside, there was no beach, just ocean. I was waist deep in water, when I exploded up into the air. I was flying! It felt so good. I kept thinking how free I felt. I saw many other people down below who saw me. I though about how unlucky they were that they could not fly. I was out there about 10-15 minutes or so before I came back. I felt so good.
Nobody really seemed to have missed me. I went back to my room where somebody (don maybe) called and wished me happy birthday) I was kind of bummed that I was in this place on my birthday. I came back out to ask permission to go back outside again. I was told no, but not given a reason. The woman who told me no was not in charge. So I was defiant and accused her of being in a power struggle with the woman who WAS in charge. I started to run towards the bay window, she stooped me. I broe fre and got to the window with the latch, it was closed, so I started looking for others. There was one that was partially open, but I had to struggle to get out of it. When I did, I landed in the water. There were roots (or seaweed) down below. It was getting ready to storm. The seaweed (or whatever) got tangled around my foot, just as I was ready to take off again. I broke free from that, then another piece got me. I figured that was a sign, and I should go anywhere. SO I went back in.
When I got back to where I could get back into the room, there were 3 people (only one of whom I recognized from work) that had gotte on life jackets and strung themselves together to come find me. I told them I realized how stupid I was for trying to go out there, and thats why I came back.
When I got back into the main room, the person in charge was starting to lecture me.

Very interesting, now tell me about your mother.
Oops sorry, slipped into my lame Freud impression.
I don't put much stock in dreams but this is how I would interpret this one.
You have done or are thinking about doing something that deep down you know is a bad idea but believe that doing it anyway would make you feel "alive" (for lack of a better word)
You may have already discussed this thing with someone else and got conformation that they too think it is a bad idea and they may have even lectured you as to why you should just put the idea out of your head and you didn't appreciate that because you believe you know what is best for you better than this other person/people.
But ultimately in the end you have denied yourself some experience and now are feeling like something is missing in your life for not having had the ability to experience whatever this thing may have been.
But like I said, I don't put much stock in dreams but my advice is that if my interpretation of your dream even closely relates to something you ave wanted to do but haven't (because you know better than that) then go a head and do it. As long as it isn't breaking any laws or no one is going to get physically or emotionally hurt, go for it.

Very interesting, now tell me about your mother. LMAO you are too funny
You have done or are thinking about doing something that deep down you know is a bad idea but believe that doing it anyway would make you feel "alive" Right On!! You are pretty good. This is the conclusion I have come up with as well ... now all I have to do is figure out which one of the 50 millions things I want to do, but haven't. You do pretty well in the interpretation department, even if you don't put too much stock into dreams
Thank you
