Waking up in your dreams?

I have experienced the same thing. Several times in my life. I had one of those dreams just a couple days ago. it seems so real, just wake up and still feel so real, but you're still in the dream. Then you finally wake up and you're wondering if you're still dreaming. yeah those kind of dreams are crazy. they freak me out for awhile.

It's called lucid dreaming. You are so lucky! I've only had two lucid dreams. You can work with these dreams. You can change the dream to your liking if you are aware that you are dreaming. You can fly or go to different countries or talk to people. Research lucid dreaming you won't regret it.

Well, It has happened with me too so many times . I have wake up in dream and again went to that dream after drinking some water or replying any question asked by room mates ....

I've woke up within dreams and thought that I was actually awake before. I have also become aware while I was within a dream that I was dreaming.

The waking up in a dream is really freaky, because often when this happens I end up in a sort of surreal reality based dream that is off in just enough areas that I am trying to understand what is wrong with everything. It often takes me quite some time to figure out that I was dreaming it, and I have woken up from such dreams wondering "am I awake*NOW*?". Definitely a freaky experience.

The lucid dreams are the ones where rather than waking up inside of a dream, you realize while you are still dreaming that you are dreaming. Those are fun, because then you can take over the dream world and do what you want to in it. I have only managed to do that a handful of times, but it has been great fun each time. I do know someone that can actively alert themselves to the fact they are dreaming, and then take control of their dreams. I don't know how they learned to do it, but I understand that it is not very hard to do once you learn how to make yourself aware that you are dreaming.

yes, sometimes I would dream that I was aware of myself self sleeping and dreaming, or wake up only that I didn't wake up but that I was having a dream within a dream.

I am beginning to think that when we dream this it is a sign or something in our minds saying look at this, pay attention, because there maybe some kind of message in what we are dreaming about in the dream that our conscious minds may be overlooking while we are awake.

This has happened to me once, and it was quite bizarre. I can understand it would be annoying if you have them a lot!

Try these dream checks out when you wake up and you're not sure if you're awake or dreaming still:

1.) Attempt to fly. Tell yourself to fly and/or try to lift your body a little into the air. If you can fly, you're dreaming.

2.) Look at the clock (analog, digital--it doesn't matter), look away, and then look at the clock again right away. If the clock has changed dramatically, you're dreaming.
