Boy, I'm not having a good day today. I've not felt 100% the last couple of days and this morning really didn't feel too good at all. I still got myself up and going because there was a big yard sale listed in the newspaper that's not far from here today/tomorrow and I wanted to get a jump on any good deals. I didn't have much cash, so I went into the little town up the road to use the ATM at the IGA. Nope. ATM is broke, no money in it. I had a $30 money order on me and asked at the service desk if she could cash that for me. Nope. No money. IGA didn't get my business today. Next stop, local small town bank. I don't bank there, so it cost me $2.50 to get some cash from their ATM, but I figured it was better than driving all the way in to town, so I sucked it up and paid the fee. Money in hand, I go looking for this yard sale. It was advertised as being in 'Pleasant Valley Manor', Pleasant Valley being a small township of one main road and maybe two/three side streets and there is a good sized manufactured home community. So, off I go ... ... and go. And go ... I drove up the main road and down each of the few side streets and saw not a single sign posted, nor any merchandise out for any sort of yard sale. I was ticked off, to say the least. The weather has been rainy off and on so I don't know if they canceled it or what, but even if they did, they could have posted a sign on the main road. It was only maybe 7 miles or so up the road, but I made the special trip into the small town in the OTHER direction first to get some cash and had to make two stops to accomplish that, and then pay the $2.50 fee. And of course when I was driving around what I presumed to be Pleasant Valley Manor, I drove up and down at a low rate of speed, stopping/starting and all that with my precious $4.00 per gallon of gas. So I'm back and home and still feeling poorly, changed into my comfy sweat pants and going to curl up on the couch with a cup of tea and pray my afternoon goes better than my morning did. So ... how's things in your neck of the woods?
