I was in middle school when he died, and I can still actually remember the day I found out. Everyone I knew had Nevermind, even people that didn't like the music. It was a tragic death, but even as a 12 year old, I could have probably seen it coming. His music, while amazing lyrically, wasn't exactly upbeat. I haven't thought about Nirvana in ages. I think I might have to just listen to their music now. Carry me back to middle school...

Nirvana is the reason I love rock!:) Even now I still love their music. Nirvana is one of the few old bands that I still listen to even now and I never get bored of it. My favorite is the MTV unplugged concert that they had. Part of me is even jealous of the people who was in that concert. I any here can say that they went to that concert...know that your sooooo lucky lol!

Turning it up and trying to record it on a tape back in '92 or '93 when it came out. I had a corner of my room with pictures of Kurt all over the walls from magazines. I was obsessed from the start. I also remember an ex boyfriend of mine giving me this tape of a recording of a recording of Bleach and I was so excited because this was Nirvana music that none of my other friends had heard. We didn't even know there was an album before Nevermind. I never got to see them in concert though, which always makes me sad.
