 Is it a habit that when a neighbor buys something new, y0u would also? Do you send your kid to a piano lesson because your neighbor's kid also takes the lesson. Do you conduct a gathering because your neighbor did some preparation also?

Or you are living in a healthy neighborhood?

2. romelyn (9)  | 3 months ago |  As human as we are, we cannot help but sometimes we envy our neighbors of what they have and what they do. But me, I don't compete with my neighbors. Not ever. Its just a waste of time and money to compete with them and it wiil give a lot of trouble and heartaches.
Why compete if you know that you can go nowhere with it? If my neighbor has this particular thing and I don't and I don't have money for such, why bother? Why make it a big deal?
Its nonsense.

Although it's kind of interesting that after one neighbor had a new roof, three others needed a new one, too. We DO need one as we have so many shingles missing on the windside that we fear it'll eventually rain in, lol. But we only rent our house and the landlord won't do anything about it until it, well, rains in. Anyhow, only the first neighbor needed a new roof and contemplated a sort of metal roof that has become popular in recent years. They opted against it because it wouldn't look right on the house and is way more expensive. Promptly two got the metal roof.
