why kidnap people to earn money?

It is really hard to earn a lot of money these times. I guess those people doesn't know how to look for a better job or they already have nothing to go. The worst that they will do is to kill their victims and I hope no more kidnapping will end to killing. In the Philippines, I think that kidnapping is a non-bailable offense. Non-bailable means that the crime committed has capital punishment, which is a lifetime imprisonment.

Today most of people want to earn a lot of money and they want to earn it fast but they don't wanna work for it nor study for it....anyway working and studing takes time and that doesn't fit into fast and a lot of money scheme. To achieve that people will do anything, and specially because they don't know the person they are hurting and they don't feel his pain so they don't actually care. Although I don't think that any normal person could do such a thing. I just wonder what makes people do that, I would rather work 10 hours in the field on the sun than do something like that.
