Types of digital cameras  

Hi! I only know 3 types of digital cameras. They are the point and shoot which is the easiest type to use. Theres not much of manual features so you literally need to just point at the person or object that you want to take a photo of and press the button thats all. The other type is the dslr or the the digital single lens reflex cameras. They're a bit more complex and a bit bigger. Better for the photographers and hobbyist. But for the average consumer who jsut want to take good home made videos then the point and shoo is the way to go. The 3rd type I know is the camera phone.^_^ They are probably the most popular and the most widely used since they are built in with your phone which you never leave home without(or at least some of us.LOL) They are perfect for the emergency photo moments when you didnt bring your digicam with you. There are many types of Digital Cameras for all types of users. Basicly there are the following types:
Bargain Point and shoot usually fairly inexpensive and limited in what you can do. These cameras tend to be slow with a long large time between the time you click and the photo is recorded.

Point and Shoot - These cameras are in the $125 + range and take good general photos. These cameras are designed to fit in you pocket and carry with you. More expensive Point and Shoot allow for some camera setting you can use. They also have a limited zoom. A good general camera

there is a newer camera type considered and Advanced Point and shoot. You have lots of control over the camera and you make many of the decision rather than the camera.

The Prosumer Cameras or SLR Like cameras. These usually have s range of full auto to full manual operation and many choices in between, One of the features of these cameras are that they have better sensor and processors in them. They also typically have a larger zoom range usually a 10X or longer zoom.

Then there is the DSLR Camera for the general public. A more expensive camera that allows for more control and expanded photo opportunity. these cameras require that you purchase the lens seperately.

Pro Cameras for the professional photographer and usually start at $1500 for the body only.
