Are concerts fun?

I've seen several concerts on DVD, but never been to a real life concert. I've been at a singing performance, like at school and some plays. But, no concerts.
I've always thought it would be nice to go to a concert for John Tesh or some other actual musician. I know that's so corny. But, I love the piano. Maybe it would be fun to see a live stage show concert like Celine Dion. I wish I'd been able to catch her in concert while she was in Las Vegas.
Even though I like rock music, I don't think I could stand being so close to all that amplified sound. When I'm listening to it on Yahoo music, it's at a safe distance, so it doesn't hurt my ears.
Concerts always look as if they'd be so much fun. Are concerts fun? Or, just plain loud? What's the last concert that you attended that you really liked or didn't like? Please share.

Nothing beats the atmosphere you get from a gig. The crowds, the noise, the excitement and the thrill. My partner and I get to a lot of gigs and I have to say, dvds are no substitute at all. We saw Iron Maiden on stage and recently we saw The Mission. Each time the atmosphere was electric, you have to actually go to a gig and soak up the music live.

it is really fun to be in a concert..it makes you come closer to people of the same interest and you can sing with them really out loud..
