What type of toys do you buy for your cats or dog?

Awhile ago, I saw a fleece blanket for sale on Ebay. It's for cats and dogs. And, honestly, my first reaction was disbelief. As if I'd actually buy blankets for a cat. Don't they have fur? But, then thinking about it again, why not?
I've been a cat mommy for over ten years. If I didn't have a little kid, I'd be spending most of my extra money on my cats and shopping. I used to do that kind of stuff all the time before my baby was born.
Now most of my money goes into housing, food and toys. So, I guess I'd buy a specialty item like a hoodie for a dog. And, maybe my cats would like a fleece blanket or real leather cat bed.
Would you ever buy something so extravagant for your cat or dog?

I don't have the spare cash to spend on expensive treats for my mag moggie, Moomin. However, I made him a cat bed using an old box, an old pillow and a piece of an old sheepskin rug. I do, however, buy him little treats occasionally, a catnip mouse was the latest treat.

My pets are like kids; you can buy them a $20.00 toy and they are more interested in the box that it came in rather than the item itself. I think the most expensive thing I purchased for the dogs were the extra large Kong toys that you can put snacks into. The guinea pigs, ferrets, rats and other small animals love cardboard boxes and small treats. We are a non-cat family (allergies) but we do get strays that pass through every so often.
