Cyber Bullying

Bullying is lame. And it's even lamer online. At least you can avoid people by just clicking the 'x' button. People just like to start trouble because they secretly hate themselves. I don't understand why they take the time and the effort to search the web and start a brawl. It's sad, really.

No, it's not OK. I hope it doesn't come to that. I feel safe on the Internet. Before my friend introduced me to this VERY addictive site, I took care of my responsibilities like making my monthly student loan payments online, paying my cell phone bill (nTelos) online, and checking my account with Chartway. Anything that was useful for me to handle online that would avoid me licking and stamping an envelope via U.S. Postal Mail (lol). I don't make fun of anybody on the Internet, so cyber bullying would NOT dominate bullying in the future whatsoever. All everybody does on the Internet is type, type, type while others who are not Internet-savvy prefer to bully the old-fashioned way (which I don't think is right either)--physically punching or beating up somebody 'til that person is blue or bleeding. Can't do that in cyberspace!

Bullying is never okay wherever it happens. On the internet you can at least shut down the computer or leave the forum/message board/group/website, where you are being bullied but it isn't nice if you have to leave somewhere because of it.

In the future it probably will dominate as there are a helluva lot of people who are brave when they're on a computer, that wouldn't have the guts to bully someone in person.

I think bullying on the internet is more common than people would think especially on interactive sociable sites... I have been a regular user of Yahoo answers and questions for the past 12mnths which is a very sociable network.. users email and speak to each other on messengers... also they can make a 360 page which further encourages you to be sociable with other users...and the bullying I have witnessed on that site amongst adults as left me shocked...as these people don't know each other in the normal sense of knowing one another but because they are sitting behind a computer they feel they can quite safely abuse other users without any consequences to themselves...but I do feel it should be recognised more as bullying and dealt with and taken as seriously as it does in the real world..because people do get effected by it even though you think well it's the net switch your computer off but why should you?

I'm not sure cyber bullying will dominate bullying in the future but, having been a victim of it myself, realise it is a huge problem.

When someone is being cyber bullied the internet can feel like a very small place. However may times you block someone it doesn't take long before they set up new email addresses and begin the bullying again. My situation ended up with me deleting all my profiles on various sites and eventually taking police advice on it as I had unknowingly given this person my address. Fortunately, once she knew I had contacted the police the bullying stopped.

I think it is something that should be taken more seriously.

Bullying is just plain MEAN. it should be gotten rid of, especially online. There are more options online. People like the internet controllers should put up bans on those people. And what happened to the bad internet controls?

cyber bullying like any bullying needs to stop it is not acceptable. We are all human and we all have feelings. Bullying is a very sad part a life and it gets sader when people do it online.
