Down the rabbithole again.......  

Here's a classic entry in the "HUH?" category:

On a recent evening, I needed to get out of the house a bit after midnight. I let the other "responsible" party in the house know I was leaving. He expressed regret that he couldn't accompany me because he had to work the next day. Fair enough, see ya in the daylight, and I split.

I spent several hours at the local racino, having scattered small wins and brief, random social interactions with other solitary souls. I got home around 5 am, was kind of startled to find Good Buddy just finishing up a play money poker tournament. He proudly announced that he came in 20- something in a field of 3500. I was offended, but my only response was to point out that play money tournaments yield nothing but the time spent, and can hurt your money game besides. I suggested he might want to consider sleeping at night, and trying am freerolls. I thought I was fairly restrained, considering he blew me off so he could go to bed!

Now I find out, 3 days later, he's been holding a grudge about this the whole time. I made the mistake of revealing that yet another of his wife's nasty cracks about me pissed me off, and he jumps in my face and starts screaming at me. He can't man up and tell his wife to stop being so nasty to the only people in the whole wide world who have stepped up in their time of need, but he can scream his stupid head off at me to prevent me from doing so.(Yes, she uses her cancer as an excuse for the nastiness, but she's been a twisted sister for as long as I've known her. Unresolved abuse issues from her childhood have poisoned her soul for half a century... the tumor just stripped away the thick candy coating she laid over it.)

Why do I do things like this to myself?

I MUST BE PHUCKIN' CRAZY, that's why!

Oh, yeah, that's right, the doctor said I AM crazy. How could I forget?

Ah, well, at least I got to vent. Thanks for reading, I feel much better now!
