Maltese: How Big, How Small?

I know this is silly, but I'm curious. I have 2 Maltese dogs. One weighs 7.1 pounds, the other is a mere 5 pounds.
Does anyone have one larger or smaller? I'm curious to see the size range of Maltese darlings. My little 5-pounder feels like a feather when I pick her up and I can't imagine one any smaller. Are they out there?

Well, I don't have a Maltese dog.
But I've been thinking about adding
a very small dog to our indoor menagerie.
The dog would have to be very small.
And hopefully one that could
get along with cats or at least
be able to "play" like they do.
Your "pup" sounds adorable and just
about the right size for a small
home or apartment.
Do you take her everywhere?
I would love to see a picture if you
have one.
Thanks!

We're trying to find the cord to upload pictures from our camera now! We've moved and it kinda got mislocated! But I do have one of my littlest baby in My Photos.
I take them everywhere I go where they allow dogs. Maltese are VERY dependent little critters! They get so attached to their humans that they don't like being alone for long.
Thanks for commenting! I was beginning to wonder if anyone ever would! LOL You deserve the BR!

Oh, you're so sweet! Thanks for saying so.
I went through at least ten pages of discussions
looking for any remaining no response or low
response questions.
It was really late last night, so I hope that
my comments were still lucid!
I really love the idea of a tiny dog.
My female cat EB is very dependent too
and dotes on me. She loves to sit in my
lap and snuggle.
When I get up and move, she moves.
So I'm kind of on board with the idea
of hooked at the hip!
The other cats are way more independent.
Thanks for best response and all the wonderful
info on the little dog.
Can't wait to see a pic.
