Protecting book covers... do you wrap them in clear plastic cover?

i have this inner drive to protect my book covers from tears, stains and folds that i spend countless hours carefully wrapping each book, whether a textbook or novel in clear plastic cover. this through the years, protected the covers and they look as new. how about you? what do you do to protect your books?

What I did with my books was to cover them with plastic covers, but I think Book Socks are great, and fashionable. :) however, I don't know the quality of care it does for my books..

hi there... i haven't seen a book sock before... where can i buy one? for me plastic covers works fine and i can see the titles and book design..

really? why you can look for them in (major) bookstores..they are those colorful packages stretchy enough to package your book, but there are also different sizes..:)
