My friend's mother suffered stroke that rendered her invalid. She therefore has to face the problem of who would ever take care of her because she is the only child. Would she give up her job to personnally do the caring coz any way her husband is earning though not that much that's why she is helping him. Or will she just hire someone to nurse which would cost so much? Please give advice.

the choice is life or money and this decission should be taken by the individual.
insted of keeping and paying for the nursse - she can leave her job and be with the patient - which gives more family afection and get cured quickly
we pray for the good health

There are adult day care facilities, many of which pick up and bring back the invalid adults. My sister went to one and it didn't cost her a thing. She got SSI (Supplemental Security Income) from Social Security, and that covered the cost of the day care and the transportation.
I hope this helps.
