Travel Sickness (Motion Sickness)  |

 I´d like to know if anyone has any foolproof(ish!) remedies for travel sickness! Personally I don´t suffer it but I sell tickets for a fishing trip on a boat & the fear of getting it puts a lot of people off! There are two types of pills you can get here plus travel bands (has anyone used these & do they work?) Also I heard ginger or melon were meant to be good. Any tips I can pass on to my worried customers would be appreciated!!:-)

Personally I could dish out anti sea sickness pills to the customers but I don´t cus.... well, if one had a serious reaction/allergy to it, it would be my fault cus I am not a doctor | |

| vikingswest (1253) | 4 years ago | Hint: You have to smoke it for it to be effective. Not likely an appropriate thing to give customers. Went on a cruise and I got terribly seasick. A member of the crew told me about it and rolled me a fatty. Geez.....I even had an appetite afterwards:} | |

3.  Andy77 (410) | 4 years ago | I get terrible motion sickness! The pills do work; sometimes they make you sleepy. Bonine seems to make me less sleepy. Sucking on peppermint candy helps. Coke or Pepsi, cold, helps too. | |

| 4. ssh123 (18249) | 4 years ago |  My sister gets headache now and then. But when she travels more than say 75 kms in a day, she feels the travelling is sickening. She gets severe headache, vomitting. She so much allergic to travelling, she hardly travels. Even by flight, she gets headaches.

5.  rainbow (3928) | 4 years ago |  You can rub or press the inside of your wrist in line with the base of your thumb, its an accupuncture point and it's meant to help. Ginger helps too so buy a packet of gingersnaps or crystalised ginger and pass it round - it is an acquired taste though.
