Speaking of gas prices - what are you spending your internet money on?

Well I just got to thinking a little bit ago about how much everything is going up. Groceries are more expensive, and gas is expected to sky rocket compared to what we're getting now... Have any of you decided to change what your spending your internet money on? If your already using it for bills, then I suppose you haven't changed, or if you were did you change to spending it on gas? Just a question I thought i'd ask, My fiance and I are still spending our money on helping his parents as well as saving up for our wedding.

When I was in school I'd use the money I earned online towards stuff I needed to buy at school, that included food, gas to get home or around town, and school stuff. And sometimes a few things that I didn't need but I wanted. My earnings were pretty killed during the last school year so now I'm working on saving my money up for a few things that I want plus school things. I may end up having to do some more double time to help pay off a few things.

Well that's acting responsibly. lol, it sounds as if i'm trying to lecture you.... i'm not though. I know that I want to spend my money on so many different things, it's so easy to get carried away. Spending it on things you need and hten saving a bit for things you want works the best.. did you do it that way or did you differentiate... well as in spending it on needs one week vs wants the next. I assume your still in school then as it seemed you were insinuating you were in your last year?

Yes I'm still in school. I just came home for the summer but I'm currently taking an online summer class. I really try to contain my spending and I think I'm pretty good with it too. I try and only buy what I need and if there's anything that I want that's not really just for fun, but I know it would come in handy, I'd really analyze it to see how well it would really come in handy. I'd buy things more for need than want. I'm saving now for something that I really want that's just for fun and for me so it's the first huge purchase I've even considered for myself in quite awhile. I mean I used to be a huge book junkie but now if I buy any books I've bought them all used so I don't spend too much. The only books I've bought relatively new have been school books.

That is good that you have it all planned out like that, I was about to ask if you had thought of something you wanted to save for for just for fun for this summer, but you answered my question already. Am glad you can handle the finances like that, it is difficult to not buy what you want... and finding it at a cheaper price is always a bonus too...

If at all possible I also try to spend it online. You see I live in Europe and the USDollar is very weak. Also take into consideration that cashing a check is not something done regularly here, and so it's really expensive. So after currency conversion, check and bank fees there's not a lot left. If a check is the only way to cashout then I'll try to set my minimum at a higher amount than I would have a year ago. If I'm being paid in another way then I'll have a look around on the net for something I need or want. That way I can save money on the currency conversion.

That's a smart way to do things, and especially since you can get things on the internet you need or want and sometimes at a deal.

That is also a good idea, to save it for a rainy day. I am surprised with gas going up that I haven't yet got a swarm of people here telling me of how they spend their money on gas.. lol, that is what I half expected.
