Who here uses Firefox 3.0 beta 5? |
|
How many of you use Firefox 3.0 beta 5? I just installed it a few days ago. Overall, I like the new interface and efficiency, especially on linux-based OS's viewing flash. My only complaint is that the mouse2 and mouse3 buttons are glitchy for me. And of course, most of the addons don't pass the compatibility check without completely disabling it on firefox's end. I actually found a hack for that, though... instead of hacking firefox to install any addon (which can be very dangerous), it hacks the addons to pass the compatibility check. If any of you are having the same addon compatibility problem I was, I wrote up a short tutorial on how to hack it like I did: http://www.easygeek.org/i... What are your thoughts on 3.0 beta5?

Read the article I mentioned in my first post, though. I wrote a whole tutorial about how to hack adddons to work on 3.0 beta 5. You should be able to get it working.:)

3. isegor (106) | 5 months ago | I am using it for a week or so on my MacBook and apart from 2 add-on that weren't updated/compatible (but that i don't use much) everything works great. I was really surprised with the visual graphics of this new browser. I don't know if it is the same for all the Operating Systems or if the one I see is like this because it is a Mac, I haven't searched it, but I really like it. usually I would try to find a new template to use as I never liked the default ones much, but not this time:D Firefox, for me, is the best browser around and people just keep making it better.

5. neildc (1877) | 5 months ago | I haven't tried that version. I guess I have to, when that version is already in its full function. I still use version 2.0
