| My rosemary is blooming more profusely than it ever has in eight or nine years. This clump started out as two plants in 4" pots. They've spread and grown together. I've harvested the new growth off it for years, and the more I harvest the more it grows, but it took it four years to bloom. I guess the extra wet winter and spring last year followed by a very dry winter and spring this year caused this. Any way it's beautiful and I just wanted to share. | | | | | |

| | I know how that feels! Nothing else will grow for me, but the herbs just seem to love it here. I did have a patch of garden sage almost as big as the rosemary, but it died a couple of years ago. I don't know why and haven't been in any condition to replant until this year. I hope I can find some to replace what's been lost. | | | |

| | Thanks for sharing. I know exactly how you feel. My Basil started blooming a few days ago. Each day a couple more small white flowers appear. I'm so "proud" that a plant decided to bloom on my windowbox. Now I know why it's such a thirsty little plant! | | | | | | |

| | Oh and basil is so pretty. I did plant some in a pot one year. It's an annual here, and doesn't like our harsh west Texas sun and wind, so I babied it. It took over that pot and made a beautiful porch decoration in addition to providing lots of taste to many meals. | | | |

| | I love rosemary! For some reason, it just does not seem to want to grow for me. I moved my herb garden this year to an area that I can hopefully keep weed and grass free a bit easier than I have in the past. We really do not have a local place where I can buy potted herbs, so I often try to stop in at various nurseries when we travel. Maybe I can give Rosemary another chance since I have moved the herb garden. | | | | | | |

| | Rosemary is a Mediterranean plant. Its natural habitat is along seacoasts. If you live in an area with acid or neutral soil your rosemary will do better if you raise the ph to about six or seven. It also need full sun and not too much water after it gets established. Good luck with your next planting. It is a lovely plant and so very useful! | | | |

| | Wow, I didn't know rosemary spreads. Mine are still pretty small. I can't even harvest the leaves yet. But this gives me something to look forward to. | | | | | | |
