| Can anyone from WV explain to me . . ..  | | | |  who was Julia Pierpont? Today West Virginia has a celebration of her life. But I did some reading, but I still don't get what she did.
Any help would be appreciated.

| |  I sure hope that just because I'm not from West Virginia, I'm excluded from this discussion. Nevertheless, Julia Pierpont is the woman that is accredited for the founding of Memorial Day.
