I was just thinking, when I was a little girl (1950's) what do they have now that they had back then? Kool-aid has been around forever. Does anyone remember Tang? What else is there out there that is still around from your child hood? Does anyone remember jacks? The best was coloring books. Hop scotch? Freeze Tag? I know I know I'm going way back. tell me yours?

hi kaleegirl45, I still remember when I was kid, I used to go to school, playing hide and seek with boys. Since in my area there wasn't so many girls around so I'll play the cooking stuff by my own.

I used to be a big tom-boy when I was around 7 or 8 years old. I use to play in the dirt with my trucks, dig holes and tunnels. I use to have a good old time. During the summer, me and my sister would make Ice cube out of kool-aid, out of borden milk, with cinnomon, and sell them for a 1 penny.

Hi there kaleegirls! Oh, I remember lots of things from my choldhood. I was born in 1982. I remember Tang and we still have that here in the Philippines. I also remember some locally made junk foods like Wonder Boy and Mang Kepweng. I also remember old brands of milk like Klim and Milkmaid. I also remember playing Freeze tag. We have lots of versions of that game here. we have "Langit at Lupa' (Heaven and Earth" Where you can tag someone only if he or she isn't in an elevated place because elevated places are called Langit (Heaven) and you can only tag those who are in Earth. Lots of memories.

I guess everyone who grew up in their own era, will have memories of their own. But I still think that back in the day, were the best days. We didn't have rule that we had to follow. no seatbelts, we were allow to sit on the back of a pickup for a drive and not get in trouble. The drive ins, were the best. I love my oldies music. when I hear Chubby checker singing the twist, I picture myself dancing. (I also saw him in person last year). We all had our good times
