| Doom Metal  | | | |  This entire genre of metal is fairly unknown to me. I like the concept but have never known where to go explore it. I've listened to plenty of albums by a few well-known bands such as Candlemass and Solitude Aeturnus, but could someone give me an overall primer to this genre with so many subgenres? | |  I am a long time fan of doom metal and can see how it might be a bit daunting at first. I don't enjoy every genre, doom death and traditional are probably my favorites. Bands that I would recommended would be My Dying Bride, Candlemass, The Reverand Bizarre, Anathema, Katatonia and Pentagram. Hope that might help you out a little bit.
