Their site says.."Soldiers' Angels is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing aid and comfort to the men and women of the United States Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and their families. Founded by the mother of two American soldiers, we are an international organization with members in all fifty U.S. states, Puerto Rico, and several friendly countries who support America's men and women in uniform. We were incorporated in the state of Nevada in June of 2003." Their slogan is "May no soldier go unloved". Their volunteers have sent care packages, letters to deployed service members; supplied the wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan with First Response Packs, provided emergency aid to military families in need; provide dvoice-controlled/adaptive laptops to over 2,600 severely-wounded servicemembers; provided flights to soldiers on leave or in emergency situations, and to their families wanting to be with them upon return from overseas; and tons and tons more. They have over 200,000 volunteers and lots of sponsorship to help them. You can adopt a soldier to write to or send care packages to, you can submit a soldier you know to the program, you can become a volunteer, bake goodies for soldiers, sew, knit or crochet a blanket for a soldier to get, do phone calls or donate money. I am amazed at all of the programs. You can find lots to choose from to honor and support a military person on this site! Check out the "teams and programs". http://soldiersangels.org/index.php?page=about-us
