Like father like son! The son of the daredevil Evel Knievel is on his own way to success! "Hopefully I'll see you after the jump," Knievel told the crowd before he climbed the start ramp. Knievel, 46, had said he would need to be going 95 miles per hour at take off for the 200-foot jump, which began from a three-story tall ramp and was completed amid wild cheers, booming explosions and shooting flames at Kings Island amusement park near Cincinnati. After touching down at the tip of the landing ramp, Knievel gave the crowd a thumbs-up, raced his bike back and forth and popped a wheelie. What do you think of that? He is following in the proud tradition of his dad who was a good entertainer, never mind that he broke a lot of bones in his body. There is no thrill and no desire to watch a thing if there is no danger to the man performing it. I guess people like their circuses. In Roman times people were pitted against lions and tigers and against themselves all for the sake of entertaining the masses. Cheers for those who risk to entertain us!!
