I have noticed on a couple of sites that it says patent pending. Well, I hand make tutus. I wonder if I could get a patent on my tutu design. How do you do that? I bet it costs a lot of money. Does anyone know?

you only need to go to the patent office in your country. as far as i know, patent costs depend on the value of your product. it doesn't exactly equate to a high cost though..

So what is the point of it anyway? No one else can make that design. I'm wanting to patent my tutus. I have researched online and cannot find a patent on a tutu anywhere.

point is.. you'll never know when somebody would try to use your work and make it theirs. if you have a patent, nobody can use your design without your consent. and anyone who uses it without your consent will be legally liable.

I haven't patented anything before but I've done an assignment on patent.
If you are still interested in granting a patent, please contact me thru snoopy88@helloitty.com.
I've got a site that's specifically written for Patent Process for people living in the US.
Just to let you know, granting a patent may not always be easy and lots of people have been unsuccessful with it because their work does not meet the criteria of a patent.
I wish you all the best and good luck with patent.
