Pls tell me difference between Sauce and Ketchup

I need to know the diference between sauce and ketchup. Some body pls tell me. Though I eat them some time but I really fine it difficult to differtiate. It taste same to me. Without haing wraper (packing) in my hand I dont know how to identify the. But I listen people talking about each one specifically. I feel shy to discuss. Pls tell me.

Hi Ajay,
I can tell you one simple difference. Ketchup is sweetish and sauce is a slightly more spicier.
I find tomato ketch up and tomato sauce different. Children love ketchup because it is sweetier and I think they add very less spices. But Tomato sauce has a little more spices and it goes well with pakodas, Bhajjis cutlets which are spicier recipes.
In the contrary Ketchup usually goes with Puffs, samosas, , patties etc. All the best you can see this link if you like to know more.

Thank you very much Ajayrekha for giving me the best response. Infact I had asked this question to many but have not got any satisfying reply. I could give you only this since I do not know the basic difference myself. Only difference I know is that the ketch up is sweeter. That's all.

I have always thought t was the same thing but I thought you call it 'tomato sauce' in posh places and 'ketchup' elsewhere.
Was I wrong?

Dont mind sir, but it seems from your reply that you also dont know the difference like me. I see both bottles seperate in my home and as well as in shops, so there must be difference, but after posting this question and getting only 2 persons to reply I dared to discuss it amoung my friend circle and come to know that they also dont know.
