How would you feel if we could travel back in time to the "Good Old Days"?

I think in some ways I would love it. I miss the neighbor taking care of neighbor and sharing food crops and such that I have heard about.
I also think that we need to slow our lives down because everything is too fast paced.
What do you think about the good old days from the past our grandparents or great grandparents lived in?

I miss the day's I grew up in. It was so calm and peacefull. Children could play outside for hours and adults would never have to worry. I remember being 4 and older and playing outside while my parents were inside. I dont dare leave my children outside alone for more then 5 minutes. I do miss it a lot.

I definitely agree with you on that one. We can never be too careful with our children now a days! Things started changing when I was younger, I was almost picked up right down the road from my house when I was younger. My kids are still too young to play outside by themselves but I wouldn't dare let them. You can't trust very many people in today's society. Life wasn't as stressful back then.

Hrmm I am actually starting to wonder if the good ol days really exsisted! You know the old saying, 'the more things change the more they stay the same'. Maybe life wasn't really simpler - just harder! Maybe people weren't happier they were just taught by society to hide their emotions more and their smiles were fake! Life could have been so slow it was boring and life expectancy was much lower. Oh dear I do sound so gloom and doom but maybe if life could really have been as happily simplistic as the oldies remember then, yes, would love to go back to those good ol days if they really exist!!!
What do you think, were they better days?

I think in some ways things were better back then, harder, but better.
I think if we could take our kids back to working the farms, playing simple games, no electronics, things would be better.
I think kids these days take so much for granted that they get into more trouble.
I would love to go back and have no chemicals put on food or into animals. Sharing with your neighbor and actually knowing your neighbor.
Clothes hung on the clothes line, but I would miss the washing machine though.
