What part of "No thank you, I'm not interested" don't you understand?  

I go through the same thing at work. I ask and ask to be taken off the calling list. I have talked to my boss and he told me to tell them I am the owner then say we aren't intrested. It has helped a bit. I still get calls but not as many. Talk to your boss about it, maybe she or he will let you do the same.

Whne they called me after repeatedly telling them to lay off, i will them threaten them! these call center agents are so irritating although it is just their jobs. instead of getting clients, they will lose it if they act this way.

You can try not answering the phone if the caller ID shows unkonown. I do that a lot. I dont' know anybody that uses an unknown number so it's none of my friends. It will take a bit of patience though because it's hard to let a phone ring!
Or you may consider trying this next time they call. Make sure you jot down the name of the person contacting you.Pretend you are interested and ask for their address or website. Then send a letter to the management of the company and tell them that "so and so" has been harassing you. And then tell them to stop calling you. It's likely that these calls are outsourced and coming from a call center. But unless you let that company know that something is going wrong they'll keep on calling!

That happens to me all the time. Our home phone is the one which is very much used to communicate with people and it somehow has ended up in the hands of some calling agencies which call customers on behalf of some or the other company which pays them. They keep calling and irritate the S* out of me. I almost lost my temper once and shouted at the person who called, and she hung up almost immediately. It's like they also know that their job is worthless and they also know that nobody is going to buy into their stuff, but still they call back.

I've had this happen a few times and I tell them to remove me from their list and if they call again I'm reporting them to the phone company for harrassment. It works everytime.

Normally I will answer phone call from unknown caller as I am afraid that it might be any friend or relative not in my phone list. But if I notice that it is an unknown person and keeps on calling me again and again even though I have told him I am not interested in what he is trying to persuade, if I see the unknown caller I again I then will take up the landline phone and cancel the calling straight away without answer it anymore.For cellphone I will press the reject button without any hesitation.
