Do you think it's just about time for American Idol to end?

Louie, I HATE American Idol! I hate the hype! I have a blog and for a while, I kept track from day to day, a count of how many times a day I came across or heard the words American Idol and something about it. And, it wasn't just during the season. It was a couple of months before the season started. Once the season was upon us, I got so tired of counting that I finally gave up and admitted defeat because I was so overwhelmingly tired of hearing about American Idol, and reporting on how many freaking times each day that I heard about it, that I just didn't want to deal with it anymore. LOL! I liked the first season. Part of the reason was because RJ Helton was from my town and I wanted to see how far he got. And, when he got the boot, I rooted for Kelly. But, since then, I have been done with it! As far as I am concerned, Kelly Clarkson was our American Idol and we don't need any more! So, I think they should end it with this season. No more! Make it done! Finito! LOL! Let me make it painfully clear: I HATE AMERICAN IDOL! Whew...one would think I am typically a hater but, not normally. This show is just so overly hyped that it annoys the ever loving fedge out of me! LOL! Sorry to have unloaded on you! Aren't you glad you opened that window? LOL!

LouieWpHs04, It seems to me that with over 93 million votes during the latest American Idol finale, I believe that it is still a pretty popular show. I think they should keep going until it is apparent that the audience is getting bored and switching the channel. I have a feeling they may have a few seasons to go before that happens. I know I'll be tuning in to future Americal Idol shows. PearlGrace

Well, in my opinion... the producers of American Idol should look into a short hibernation period... in which they stop for a few years... build interest again... then comeback with a big bang... i myself did not watch all of the episodes... unlike before when i religiously wait everyweek... it can be tiring at times...

It's done, it's over, it's run its course. They need to ome up with something totally new and fresh. There are so many spin offs of this show, and the people who win fade into the background rather quickly.

I've only recently "got into" American Idol. In the past years, I watched Carrie Underwood take it, the next year, I made it to the last three and got mad, then I watched 75% of it this year only to be disappointed to lose Michael Johns because he was my chosen one. If they go on, that's fine with me but if they stop, they'll just put on another stupid show and we DON'T need that! Myself, I'd like to see Paula exit, she's not my favorite at all.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! B.S. The only good shows in TV are reality ones. They are pleasant to us and a future for contestants. If this is about money "only" why should we pay cable? It's time that we decide what to see on TV, not the people who just want the money. Talent shows are the best, I'm proud that somebody created them, I might not like all of them, but please........ don't touch American Idol, You think u can dance, America's got talent, ...... At last we have something good and .... who wants to take it from us?????? Can wait till next season.
