Eskimos-Lifestyle of people about whom we have little knowledge  

In mylot,the members belong from various parts of the world and more or less we have a vague idea of most of the communities.But Eskimos are people about whom we all have read in childhood and like me must have been fascinated.But i think we all know very little about them.
I came across an interesting piece of information about Eskimos and would like to put it here in this post.

Eskimos or Inuits were the orignal inhabitants of Greenland.They are short and stout and have yellowish skin.High cheek bones,and narrow eyes.they lead a very ahrd lkihe.They are mainly hunters and hubt seals,walruses,whales and polar bears.In the apst they used bows and harpoons to hunt.A harpoon is ling spear with a rope attached to it.They amake a round hole on top of a frozen river or the edge of the sea.Then they wauit fir the fish,seal etc, to come up to breathe then they pierce the animals with tha harpoon.
Boats called Kayaks are used for hunting sea anumals.Thesed boats are made of seal skin.For hunting whales,a large boats called umiak,is used.the fat or blubber of seal an dwhales is uswed as fuel.It is burnt to give heat and light.
Fishing has become a major industry.Most of the fish caught is exported after processing.The people eskimos,wear clothes made os seal,walrus and reindeer skin.Waterproof shoes are made of seal skin,sewn with reindeer thread.

Jacket with hoods lined with fur are worn by men,women and children.Such a jacket is called a parka.
