Here it is...From the Hispanic free newspaper, Su Voz. Mr. Iglesias says: "Puerto Ricans Are Citizens" One of the distinquished members of the "Boriqua" (Puerto Rican) community called the free newspaper very irate to ask if they would print the title of this letter without omitting anything. His words are a protest to what he considers a hoax or practical joke of the aspiring democrats to the presidency of Hillary and Obama to go and solicit aid and funds in Puerto Rico for the electoral campaign of the primaries of June 1. Mr. Iglesias stated that, "This is an absurdity or blunder because they ask the Puerto Ricans for votes and money but in the continental territory of the United States we are denied the right to vote. This flagrant contradiction is intolerable". With 45 years of residency in Vineland, NJ, citizen of the United States, two veteran sons from the war, two nephews in Iraq, Mr. Iglesias critized the absurd situation of Puerto Ricans. "When Puerto Ricans are on the island they cannot participate in the presidential elections, but when they come here to the US they can vote. It's unheard of." Iglesias said "this situation reveals an abuse and maltreatment of Puerto Ricans to whom they take away the citizen's rights to go to the polls and vote". "Why can they vote in the primaries and not in the elections to choose the president in November?" "Are we, or are we not citizens?" "Our money is used for politics. They take our money and they take away our right to vote. We give our lives and we are not worth anything." The aspiring Barack Obama and the democrat Senator Hillary Clinton will dispute the delegates in the primary of June 1 in Puerto Rico with the objective of obtaining the majority of delegates for the democratic presidential nomination. Puerto Rico is territory of the United States since 1898 and it's inhabitants are US citizens since 1917, but cannot vote for president of the US. Yet, they participate in the primaries. Since 1952 we have the status of Associated Free State with an enforced constitution since July 28, 1952. What do you think?
