I used to watch French movies even though I do not know the language. Have you ever watched any movie that language you do not know? Are you able to understand the story of the movie?

Yes, so many times. I've watched it with subtitles of course. Mostly they're Korean, Chinese and Japanese movies. I usually watch it online hehehe..

I watched Telugu, Tamil, Japanese, Thai,Chinese movies without subtitles. It is at times funny, at times disgusting. Funny because it reminds me 2-3 year olds watching the pictures in comics books. Disgusting when I can not understand gags in comedy movies. They are the most difficult to understand in any foreign language movie. As their slangs are quite different from ours. So it becomes quite amusing when you know that some thing funny is going on, but you can not know. Story of all movies can be understood. But as I told details like gags of jokes are the real problems.

I always watch foreign films. I don't mind reading subtitles. I see them as a learning tool. I really like learning new languages. And I'm working on a couple of languages now. I think most people would benefit from watching more subtitled movies. And I think it would help people become more open minded.

I watched a movie in Japanese before without subtitles! It was pretty interesting though. I thought it was an American movie at first but turned out to be wrong, lol. I could somewhat understand what was going on but not fully because I had no clue what they were saying.
