When it comes to your money would you consider having a joint account with your spouse or do you think it’s a bad idea?

We have a joint account for the household things, he keeps some cash for himself, and I have my own seperate account. It gives us a sense of unity, but also our own money that we don't have to account to the other for.

I love the idea and we are having one. We got a separate account and a joint account! We are both enjoying it and i don't think so it's bad, it depends to the couple!

Some it may be a good idea but not here. We use to have a joint acct and my husband would always forget to tell me when he used the atm card. So the acct would get overdrawn. And when we divorced I was 1/2 responsible for the overdrawn acct.
